WATER COLOR | OIL PASTEL | ILLUSTRATIONS | TEXTILE ART

I'm a painter, illustrator, textile artist and I also draw and write on my blog, tweet and chat in Facebook about my life as a European Artist in Paris. I was born in 1957 in Giessen, Germany and have been practising drawing and painting from an early age. I also loved foreign languages, so I first trained as a translator and worked as a foreign language correspondant. At the same time, I took artworkshops and practised drawing daily until I moved on to Strasbourg, France and later to Paris where I studied textile surface design, qualifying as a textile designer in 2005. The discovery of the textile design world in fashion and interior decoration tought me a lot about rigour, style, finesse and detail, precious things which now help me to define myself as a painter and textile artist, translating my visions of the world into images on paper, canvas, fabric.
